Bug Description
Today when the launcher overflows the launcher items tilts with a 3D-effect. This could also be indicated differently thus removing the need of a 2D version of Unity, if I'm correct to assume that this was the only reason which it probably isn't, but this is at least worth giving a thought. It could just as effectively be shown with a glow effect of some kind like in the attached image.
(Though in the attached image is the overflow on the top of the launcher – the user has scrolled down - because in this mockup I also wanted to show other features and not having the glow effect stealing focus.)

I changed the bug to ayatana-design when I learned that it was a more appropriate category but then also changed the unity affections to invalid but later learned that those should stay the way they were. That's why I'm changing back the status to new.
