Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

An hour of browsing on my machine will end up with an ever-open Download popup and other popups I permit.

The average user will never notice unless they expo their Firefox windows or notice the tick marks.

This issue was never a problem with the gnome-panel because all popup windows were presented on the bottom bar and were immediately obvious. It's not obvious with Unity and it takes a lot of clicks or key presses to close multiple popups

I opened a separate bug for that, see #786251

A simple solution would be to add a "close" button on every window in expose as it was in ubuntu-10.10 unity

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed in the latest development version of Unity.

If running an application such as your browser in fullscreen mode, all open windows are indicated in the Unity Launcher by means of ticks beside the application icon. In addition, the windows can be selected and closed using the Unity Workspace Switcher or Alt-Tab Switcher.
