Bug Description

The keyboard drivability of Unity is creditable and much appreciated, but here is one omission:

When an application requires attention and the blue triangle and app icon notification appears, there should be a keyboard shortcut to 'jump to app requiring attention'.

Perhaps Super-N, (n for next) - e.g. in Thunderbird 'n' takes you to next unread email, though that's a fairly weak precedent.

If this already exists it isn't on the keyboard shortcut page here: http://askubuntu.com/questions/28086/unity-keyboard-mouse-shortcuts.

No, from a design point of view, we would not support a dedicated "get
the alerting app" keystroke, because it would have indeterminate
results. Another app could alert while you are lining up the keys, or
their could be multiple alerting apps, and it would be unclear which
would be switched to.

We already have:

 * direct keys for the first 10 launchers
 * a way to focus the launcher and move between them with the arrow up
and down keys (Alt-F1)

That's sufficient :-)

Appreciate the suggestion, though, thanks for the report!
