Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

When I initially used unity from the PPA when on Lucid, I used to be able to get the 'expose' mode for the windows by simply clicking the top left icon. This now no longer is linked to that useful function, and I am unable to find a similar quick button to click or keybinding to press. If one exists I would appreciate to know what it is, and if one doesn't, then I think one should exist.

A key binding to expose all unity desktops would also be a really useful function which again doesn't appear to exist by default.

Thanks,

J

Thanks for your comments. I'm marking the bug as 'opinion' and linking with the ayatana-design project to pass on the feedback to the design team.

Hi James, could you attach a screenshot of the top left icon ("I used to be able to get the 'expose' mode for the windows by simply clicking the top left icon.") you mentioned in your bug report.

thanks,
John

The top left icon is the ubuntu icon in the top left of the screen on the current netbook remix release. When I first installed netbook remix on maverick, that icon used to do an 'expose' like effect for all currently open windows. That same icon now opens the window with a series of buttons to select 'web', 'chat and email', 'office' ... etc.
