The SPICE project is no longer tied to being one display per KVM VM, rather it is now integrated with an X-server, such that multiple SPICE sessions can be run inside a single VM. Read more at:

This also means that we can now run XSpice on top of ec2 ! And since SPICE protocol 0.10 is WAN optimized (at least that's what their devs say), then perhaps it can be a better option than NX/VNC |
