* Ubuntu 10.04 - 64bit
* flashplugin-nonfree lastest version (32bit)
* awn installed from sources in lp:awn rev714 or the packaged version doesn't matter
* Using Compiz
* Nvidia driver version 195

Strange tasks (with title = "exe") appearing and disappearing in taskmanager while opening sites that contains flash content using Google Chrome (Stable) or Chromium Daily.

It doesn't happend with Firefox.

@moonbeam, Kylehuff has this issue too, and he is using 32bit architecture.

the issue doesn't happend if 'sync_to_vblank' is disabled in ccsm (compiz) -> General -> View Settings -> Sync to VBlank

kylehuff: You know what is funny though, if I disable flash, I don't see it happen, but more importantly, with flash disabled it shows the translation bar, which it does not do when flash is enabled.

Could you check whether this bug is still present in the testing packages in this PPA: https://launchpad.net/~p12/+archive/awn ?

Thanks!
