Bug Description
Problem: awn is surrounded by a zone in which its blocking mouse access to windows/trays surrounding it.
I have awn running bottom-center. I have "trayer" running bottom right.
Without awn running, I can access icons in my "trayer" (right click and left click mouse work on for instance nm-applet). If I move "trayer" up towards the top left corner, and start awn, I can also access it without problem.
As soon as I start awn (settings: *no* "auto hide...", *no* "keep below...", no "Maximized ...") access to windows directly above awn is blocked right up to where the "bubble" containing the name of the application ends. Anything beside the awn, both left and right, including the trayer, can also not be accessed with the mouse.
It is like there is an invisible "zone" around the awn where the only thing clickable is the awn itself.
If more info is needed or I can do something to help, please let me know!

My guess OpenBox is suffering a variation of the issue that can be seen in this opencompositing bug http:// bugs.opencompos iting.org/ show_bug. cgi?id= 637
IMO, what it basically comes down to is that there is a large transparent window that needs to be ignored... and instead the WM should use the strut to determine the area of the dock.
njpatel, any comments?
