Incorrect Icon Position on Screen Rotation

Bug #237805 reported by Daniel Weis on 2008-06-06

Bug Description

This is the same issue as reported here on the antiquated google code page:

I have updated that report as well.

To reiterate, the issue with compiz has been resolved as per this patch:

In summation, after applying this patch, everything BUT awn works. I think it is worth looking into now.

For reference, I am using Ubuntu 8.04, awn is installed using bzr. My compositing winow manager is compiz.
lspci outputs the following for my graphics:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)
00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/GME, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)
And I am using whatever the default driver is for this.

Thanks and regards,
Dan Weis

I can confirm this bug. When I rotate my screen 90 degrees the background of the dock moves appropriately, but the icons and launchers stay in the same location only rotated 90 degrees. Also, when a new app is loaded all of the icons readjust to the correct location.
