Stack, volume, and other exandable applets work poorly with autohide

Bug Description
When expanding an applet to show its contents (exp: clicking on a stack applet that points to a folder) the content is displayed, but if the autohide feature is enabled the delay timer is triggered when the user moves the mouse cursor over to the (now expanded) stack menu. If the delay timer is set low enough, the AWN dock will autohide before the user is done using the menu. The open menu will not close in this case, but rather be dragged down the screen by the retreating dock. This can result in mistakenly selecting the wrong file from the stack applet, or getting undesirably loud volumes when adjusting the volume since the menu slides down your screen to follow the dock as it autohides, and (if you're holding the volume slider as the menu moves) will thus increase the volume. This in turn could disturb neighbors and family/roommates, or, more worryingly, cause hearing damage if you're either wearing sensitive headphones or using headphones with a laptop since laptops tend to only have a software based volume control, making them particularly sensitive to this bug.
stats: running version 0.2.6-r1 of AWN from the gentoo repositories, with kernel 2.6.24 under gnome with compiz-fusion. I have an Nvidia quadro NVS 110m with version 169.09 of the drivers.
