I finally found what seems to be the problem of it all. libawn redefines _wnck_get_fallback_icons() as an empty function in src/xutils.c, not doing anything. If I delete that part and also comment out the "if (iconp)" and "if (mini_iconp)" in the xutils.c of libwnck, it sort of works for me.
Is these any specific reason to replace that function with a dummy? And why is this FreeBSD-specific???
