Can't change VLC's icon

Bug Description

When I run awn from a terminal and try to change VLC's icon, this error is written to stdout:

Failed to open '/home/myusername/.awn/custom-icons/.' for writing: Is a directory

Apparently, it tries to name the icon . instead of vlc?

Confirmd on latest bzr.

wnck_application_get_name() is returning "." instead of an appliaction name.

See my comments in https://bugs.launchpad.net/awn/+bug/129806 for my thought on how to fix this as the two issues are kind of related

Yeah, this is a PITA. I am trying to figure out a way around this, so we always have a useful name for each application.
