`make' after `./configure' returns errors (AWN version 0.4.2)

Bug Description
I'm running Linux Mint 16, and I cannot seem to `make' AWN after running `./configure'. When I attempt the `make' command, I get a whole bunch of meaningless garbage data that I assume is just part of the make process, but after a little while, the `make' command crashes with the following errors:
