Bug Description

description:
in fedora15 gnome3 gnome-shell with avant-window-navigator extras-applet
"shiny-switcher" the workspaces appear in the tray but cant drag programs among
the thumbnails but need to use clickmenu 'move to workspace' items instead of
just dragging.

it was suggested (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=711035#c1)
that the ability had existed in awn but was recently lost
and that it should be filed here.

may have missed some but
dont see any duplicate bugs or docs / forum posts
so filing here as 'bug' instead of as a 'request for enhancement'.

steps to reproduce:
1. open program in gnome-shell workspace
2. open another program in another workspace of gnome-shell
3. try to drag program from one workspace thumbnail to another
but it fails to move the program to the other workspace

distribution:
Fedora 15 gnome uptodate with updates-testing repository as follows
      avant-window-navigator-0.4.1-0.bzr830.fc15
      awn-extras-applets-0.4.2-0.1.bzr1523.fc15 (x86_64)
      gnome-shell-3.0.2-4.fc15 (x86_64)
      gnome-shell-extensions-common-3.0.2-1.g63dd27cgit.fc15 (noarch)
      gnome-shell-extension-icon-manager-0-0.2.gite9deb2b.fc15 (noarch)
      gnome-shell-extensions-auto-move-windows-3.0.2-1.g63dd27cgit.fc15 (noarch)
      gnome-shell-extensions-dock-3.0.2-1.g63dd27cgit.fc15 (noarch)
      gnome-shell-extensions-native-window-placement-3.0.2-1.g63dd27cgit.fc15 (noarch)
      gnome-shell-extensions-user-theme-3.0.2-1.g63dd27cgit.fc15 (noarch)

installation method:
fedora15 gpk packagemanager with updates-testing repository enabled
(notice above that the avant (0.4.1) and awn-extras (0.4.2) are different versions
which may a subject for a downstream bug report...)

videocard:
notebook ati-rs780mc (ati radeon hd 3100)

additional info:
had filed this downstream in fedora
   (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=711035)
which will probably make a tracking bug now
