Wishlist: Add tooltips to Weather Applet

This is a something to put on the Wishlist.

How about adding tooltips inside Weather Applet, so when hovering a day it shows the complete description. In this case translators don't have to keep translations short. It's not very easy all the time.

Could you attach a screenshot to support your argument, please? AFAIK the applet receives short descriptions from the source.

Short forecast descriptions come indeed from weather.com but the forecast window is only about 12 characters wide. Every longer description is shortened and "..." is appended. Some descriptions are not displayed fully in English (not many though) and probably it's worse with some translations. Actually I don't have an example for my location, but there is a screenshot for Bug #653514 where the 3rd and 4th day have shortened descriptions.

I already tried to add tooltips before but gave up because it was too difficult for me.

I understand, I've tried to shorten the translations as good as possible, but the AM/PM ones is quite tricky though. One idea is when AM/PM data is sent to the applet, the short description ignores it, but the hovered one shows a more detailed version.
