Bug Description

after running for a while, probably greater than 12 hours, the digital clock applet (python) will be using ~220 MB of resident memory. I am using it on Ubuntu 7.10 gutsy gibbon and using the gutsy gibbon repos of avant window navigator. The digital clock applet is the newest release from the forums i believe, but I am now going to test it with the version in awn-extras repo and see if it still occurs.

I have only been running the applet for a couple hours now after restarting my computer, and the resident memory is already up to 64 MB (3.2% of my 2GB memory) with the applet that is in the awn-extras repo - so the leak starts pretty quick and continually builds up over time it seems.

Could you try an awn-extras build at or after revision 441, to see if that improves the memory usage?

Marking as fix committed, as I don't see any memory leak in digitalClock (one running for 11 days now).
