Bug Description

I booted into Zorin, and noticed that AWN was attempting to load the typical applets on the lower right hand corner of the screen. The 'loading' icon kept going around and around but nothing has been loaded. I can't get volume control, wifi, clock or any of the standard applet to load.
I have uninstalled Awn, reinstalled it, tried to add volume but there is no applet in the Awn Settings manager to add wifi or volume control.
I am running Awn Navigator 0.4.1 for Gnome.
It came with Zorin running Ubuntu 12.04
I removed and reinstalled using the Ubuntu Software Center
My system is as follows:
Alienware Mx14 R2
16 gigs ram
750 g hd / 7200 rpm
graphics card:
2 GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 650M with Optimus
Using the 64 bit version of Ubuntu.
Prior to this I had problems with the audio all of a sudden not working. I used the reboot icon to reboot and now the applets will not work.
Thanks
