Estamos ejecutando Audio Recorder sobre MediosLibres GNU/Linux (Shamatari), una Distro venezolana para medios de comunicación, basada en Ubuntu Studio 12.04. Frecuentemente la aplicación no inicia la grabación a la hora programada.

We are running Audio Recorder on MediosLibres GNU / Linux (Shamatari), a Venezuelan Distro for media, based on Ubuntu Studio 12.04. Often the application will not start recording at the scheduled time.

I'm running Kubuntu 15.10 and also here Audio Recorder doesn't start at all the recording even when directly clicking "start recording". No errors are shown.

I am the original developer of audio-recorder, but I have not worked with it for many years now. I merely compile it for new Ubuntu versions without any code changes.

Ubuntu Studio 12.04 is a rather old distribution.
The newest versions of audio-recorder may work better. What version do you have?

Audio-recorder is made for GNOME and Ubuntu desktops that has GTK3. I do not think it works well in KDE. KDE has its own audio stack and audio tools.

Snap errors immediately with:
$ audio-recorder

(audio-recorder:2172): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: 20:40:54.933: g_dbus_server_start: assertion 'G_IS_DBUS_SERVER (server)' failed
Error:Cannot create server address unix:abstract=audiorecorder for DBus. Error binding to address: Permission denied

I do not know how Snap-packages work.

Assuming that you are running a .dep (Debian package) based distribution.
Do this:
....Remove the Snap package
....Install .dep package from
....https://launchpad.net/~audio-recorder/+archive/ubuntu/ppa
