Bug Description
At least for backskip, I'd like to be able to back skip a few frames as much as a few seconds or minutes.
I was thinking of a way to do that without the need for a configurable backskip preference, and I remembered how my old VCR used to work: if one tried to rewind or fast forward during playback, the speed picked up slowly at first and then speed up as time went on.
For audience's keyboard backskip: When backskip is pressed continuously (over keyboard repeat threshold? a timer could be faster...), starts slow (~5fps) and gradually increases speed (~1.5x(current fps) every 3s, start jumping the default number of frames at 3~4x(video speed)).
Since Audience is not a VCR, the action for a single tap on backskip--to jump back the default number of frames--could be kept as-is.
