Using audience-bzr, I noticed recently that the playlist widget has been further minimized.
I appreciate the new button integration, although "Add from Harddrive.." should be something more Aunt Suzy safe like "Add video( file)..."
Unfortunately the box seems to be sized to just fit these buttons, cutting off a large part of the filename / title for videos with lengthy names.
I would rather this box adapt it's horizontal size according to the file name. Not infinitely of course, but allow for longer names and reveal the ending of the name, like so:
1. Stretch horizontally to ~70% of the filename / title length, not exceeding the width of Audience's window.
2. Omit known dot-three extensions ( '.mkv', '.avi', etc)
3. Display as many characters as fit from the beginning and end of the title / filename with an ellipsis in the middle ("Very Long Series...n 5 - Episode 22")
Furthermore, show more than one name at a time!! I understand the minimalism, but It's hard to navigate the playlist with only one row. Perhaps the playlist could also adapt it's vertical height, to 50% of the playlist length, not exceeding the height of Audience's window. |

::EDIT:: Number of rows has increased to three; this is manageable if not ideal. |
