Hidden tasks do not show in widget when due date comes

If I hide a task until a certain date, the hidden task displays as expected on the date in Astrid but will not display in the widget unless I go and uncheck the "hide until" box. So hidden tasks get missed when primarily using the widget to view your task list.

The cause for this might be that the widget does not update itself unless something "triggers" an update - Astrid gets opened, a task gets created, etc.

If this happens in the future, and you launch Astrid, will the widget show your previously hidden task?

If that solves the problem, maybe what we can do is have the widget refresh itself automatically every few hours or something.

Hi Tim. Launching Astrid, adding a new task, etc. was the first thing I
tried thinking much the same thing, that I had to force the widget to
refresh but still the tasks did not show up.

In my case, I'll get the reminder from from Astride and the icon will show up at the top of the screen with other notifications, but because I hide tasks up until a certain time before they're due, the widget will show as empty until I go into the full app (this appears to cause the widget to refresh). If the full app knows to show the task at a certain time, so should the widget (on its own).
