Notification doesn't trigger after phone is turned back on iif phone is off during deadline

When my absolute dateline is during the time when my phone is off, the reminder does not work despite having the "remind me after absolute dateline has passed" function being activated. I was expecting astrid to remind me as soon as I turn on my phone again although the dateline has passed. Could you kindly look into the problem? Your help is greatly appreciated thank you in advance.

Can you tell me whether you also had "Remind At Deadlines" checked off? If you only had "After Deadline Has Passed", it will remind you every so often when the deadline has passed (something like every hour)
