Bug Description

The loading screen will show the correct observer color, but from that onwards, observer will use Slot9.ColorScheme, even the debug.log specifies that.

It would be a minor thing, but it causes an insta-RE/connection issues in games if a player also uses that same color.

This happens with and without Observer.ColorScheme is defined.

I'm setting this to confirmed since the forum exchange implied multiple people accepted this as fact.
I am also setting the importance to high, because of the reproducible insta-RE.

Maybe helpful, but if you play with -MPDEBUG being on, the top-left debug counter is also on the 9th color.

Doesn't the recon error message offer to create a memory dump nowadays? That could help, and so could debug.log (I, for example, have no clue how "debug.log specifies that").

(Graion, all MPDEBUG text is printed in the Grey color scheme.)

Its hard to gather up three people for a test, IMO. But here goes, three dumps. The observer (Doomhammer), the orange (ColorScheme9) player (Alpha Patroklos - myself) and the third player (Zenothist).

I got a timeout during uploading here, so it's external.

I just committed a potential fix for this issue. It is in the various-fixes branch and also included in the latest v02-binary. I haven't tested this myself yet. If anyone finds two other players to test, please also upload the host's debug.log. Thank you!

Thanks, but... Person 1 uses 12.62.1050, which does not contain the fix. Person 1 was the host and the host is responsible for the color assignments.
