Bug Description

Suppose I have an infantry unit with a machine gun as his primary, and a really powerful weapon for destroying buildings as his secondary. And suppose I give the machine gun ROF=15 and the really powerful weapon ROF=1000. If he fires the really powerful weapon, he has to wait 1000 frames to fire his machine gun. If he fires his machine gun, he only has to wait 15 frames to fire the really powerful weapon.

it'd need something like Separate.ROF=yes/no as stuff like the magnetron is supposedly using the same weapon on buildings and units, even though they have to be separate weapons in the rules

I think a better solution would be to make the ROF only affect the weapon it's on and not the other weapon the unit has. For stuff like the magnetron, just give both weapons the same ROF.

yeah, but then you'd be able to mag-juggle while taking out buildings, not good.

whereas if it's an option, you can enable it for units that need it, but disable it for units that don't.

NO! The point of a fix would NOT be to allow both weapons to be fired simultaneously, but to make the ROF of the Primary weapon NOT be affected by the ROF of the Secondary weapon. This fix WOULDN'T affect stuff like the magnetron because all it would affect would be the ROF.

thats not the issue though, the whole point of mag juggling was to keep several units in the air at once, but, due to the ROF on the secondary weapon (the building magbeam) you couldn't mag juggle and take out buildings, you'd end up dropping what you were juggling while waiting for the ROF time to be up. without the ROF, it would enable a quick player to be able to mag juggle, attack a building, then go back to mag juggling without having to wait for the secondary ROF, and also keeping the units off the floor still.

Okay, now I see what you mean. Perhaps your idea would be better.
