Bug Description

Could you include:
a) support for an unlimited number of IFV modes
b) for infantry not using the NewUpgradeSystem (if you include it), a VeteranIFVMode and EliteIFVMode (at least the latter) tag, so any firepower boost gained through veterancy can be transferred to the IFV's weapon when the infantryman is inside it.
c) Support for Primary and Secondary weapon for each IFV Mode (like Gattling, where each stage has two weapons)

b) is doable because the unit actually 'upgrades' into a different unit with a different turret weapon.

No, it doesn't. It just upgrades into the same unit with a different turret and weapon. In unpatched YR the logic for this is hardcoded.

I meant the unit using the NewUpgradeSystem. Idiot.

Black Temple Guardian, when I read your first note I thought the same as Professor_Tesla - that you were referring to the IFV, not the infantry. Especially because the reporter did specify "for infantry not using the NewUpgradeSystem".

On a side note, I've always felt that the elite IFV weapons were a bit bizarre - sometimes they had little impact and sometimes they were uber-powerful. No consistency. I think the BattleFortress logic made a lot more sense (except for the bit where you couldn't specify a replacement weapon in the case that the unit's own weapon was too powerful or not workable inside a vehicle).
Of course, a modder could turn this to good use...
