You say "as soon as practicable" but this bug is over 4 YEARS old now. I think the frustration from the users is completely understandable and justified. It's by far the hottest issue on the list but the developers continue to waffle. Not that I think one more post is going to change anything, except to increase the visibility of the fact that this is such a ridiculously mismanaged and misprioritized project. I see that as a good thing.

If the periodic emails annoy you, you can always un-watch the issue.
