Bug Description

In Cinnamon (Mint 16 Cinnamon 64-bit) I have the window focus mode set to "sloppy". This works fine for a while and then suddenly window focus stops following the mouse and reverts to "click" behaviour. Note that the setting is still set to "sloppy" but it is behaving as though it is set to "click". The only resolution at this point is to restart Cinnamon.

It's possibly due to a badly behaved window (The KeePass application which is written in Mono I think). But note that this is NOT universally true - I can often use KeePass without any adverse effect on my window focus in the desktop. Here is some output from the Cinnamon binary as I activate and use the KeePass window:

darren@hepburn ~/Desktop $ cinnamon

I've been having the same issue since when I started using Linux Mint in version 14, and still have it Mint 17.1. Sloppy focus works for a couple of hours and then changes to click-to-focus. I also use KeePass (but haven't analyzed whether this triggers the problem).

Currently running Cinnamon 2.4.6.

I'm running Mint 17.3, cinnamon 2.6.13, but am not aware of ever running KeePass.

I can run for several weeks then this happens to me. Only way to get back is to restart
Cinnamon. Bloody nuisance!

If someone can come up with a way to switch it back I'd be delighted!
