Bug Description

Description: Ubuntu 12.10
deja-dup 24.0-0ubuntu1
duplicity 0.6.19-0ubuntu2

Im uploading my backups to a ftp server (Dlink DNS-323) and since Ubuntu 12.10 the backup hangs at uploading and nothing happens. According to the logfile of the ftp the last duplicity-inc..to..vol.difftar.gz hasnt been uploaded
the last duplicity-inc..to..vol.difftar.gz can be found on the ftp server but with size 0
it looks like it only uploads 3-4 duplicity-inc..to..vol.difftar.gz before it hangs.

I have the exact same problem on Archlinux with:

Deja-Dup 24.0
Duplicity 0.6.20

Once it hangs, if I press the "Resume Later" button and then restart the backup some more difftars are uploaded. However, at some point it hangs again. The number of difftars uploaded seems a bit arbitrary.

Update:
I have made a new clean install of ubuntu 13.04, the networkdriver are now brcmsmac.
I have changed wireless router to Technicolor Gateway TG799vn v2 10.4.0.O

Still same problem last uploaded (hanged) difftar,gz still has zero size

Questions?
why isnt there a timeout on uploading a difftar.gz to the server
Why isnt a zero sized difftar.gz when backup is removed when backup is removed

Duplicity should apparently use NcFTP for ftp transfer it doesn't because if i uninstall NcFTP i should receive "NcFTP not found: Please install NcFTP version 3.1.9 or later" but it doesn't.
According what i can read in the logfile duplixity is called with -- gio and according to documentation its forces the use of giobackend and it uses the "gvfs daemons"

I'm going to close the upstream tasks, as it seems like it was a gvfs issue in the first place and additionally likely fixed a while back.
