Cant install/remove anything

I was only trying to install java then my computer died, I've already cleared out /var/lib/dpkg/updates/ as someone told me to do (by moving the files to another location, desktop) then running sudo dpkg --configure -a as instructed by someone, and deciphered my me, but I haven't seen a error like this before.
Please help.
