Bug Description

this shows up in an error window when attempting to install packages. specifically, i downloaded wine through the ubuntu software center, and then it froze for hours during the "applying changes" step. i killed the process, clicked restart. once the computer restarted i launched ubuntu software center, where i tried to install virtualbox, then i got this message. (this applies also when i try to install other programs as well)

"An unhandlable error occured.

There seems to be a programming error in aptdaemon, the software that allows you to install/remove software and to perform other package management related tasks. Please report this error at http://launchpad.net/aptdaemon/+filebug and retry."
