Unhandleable error occurs when installing StarLogo TNG

Bug Description

When installing the StarLogo TNG deb (starlogotng_1.0_all.deb) from http://education.mit.edu/projects/starlogo-tng in Maverick, I get a dialog box entitled, "An unhandlable error occured", which states,
"There seems to be a programming error in aptdaemon, the software that allows you to install/remove software and to perform other package management related tasks. Please report this error at http://launchpad.net/aptdaemon/+filebug and retry." Retrying does not work, so I submitted a bug report.
