Unhandled error in aptdaemon on attempt to install Decklink software

When attempting to install the .deb packages from "Blackmagic Designs" to support their decklink hardware I get the following:

An Unhandlable error occured.

There seems to be a programming error in aptdaemon, the software that allows you to install/remove software and to perform other package management related tasks. Please report this error at http://launchpad.net/aptdaemon/+filebug and retry.

This happens when installing their drivers (decklink-7.9rc7-i386.deb) and when trying to install their utility software (mediaexpress-2.2rc19-i386.deb)

Thanks for any help in resolving this. We need to get this up and running as soon as practical.
