Receive this message after clicking on driver files for Brother MFC-7420: "There seems to be a programming error in aptdaemon, the software that allows you to install/remove software and to perform other package management related tasks. Please report this error at http://launchpad.net/aptdaemon/+filebug and retry."

Bug Description
Initially the one of the LPT or CUPSWRAPPERs just didn't install (don't remember which). Presumably the other had installed as the install button changed to "Reinstall". I did try restarting the computer at one point and I think that was before I kept getting the message described.
A comment:
This is possibly not the way to install a printer but if the only way is as described on the Brother web-site then I think Ubuntu/Linux can forget about attracting Windows users!

I understand that this bug is annoying to you. But your comment also doesn't help me as a developer to provide you with free and open source software.
The fix will land soon in Maverick. In the mean time you can run "sudo dpkg -i /PATH/TO/FILE.deb" from the Terminal.
