Bug Description
Using Appy Pod on a Python with no UNO support (thus using pythonWithUnoPath) it appears that sometimes zombie Python processes are left over.
I'm using Appy Pod in a Django project run under the uWSGI application server, in case it's relevant.
Replacing the deprecated os.popen3 call in shared/utils.py with the subprocess module solves the issue.
Patch attached.
