Report isn't sent after clicking "Continue" while details load

1. Trigger a crash in something.
2. When the error alert appears, ensure that "Send an error report to help fix this problem" is checked.
3. Choose "Show Details".
4. While the spinner is still spinning, choose "Continue".

What happens: No progress window appears to show the Launchpad upload process. But if you wait until the full details display, the progress window does appear.

What should happen: Error reports are sent to the same destinations regardless of when you click "Continue".

Fixing this might substantially increase the number of error reports submitted.

So when this bug is fixed, I think the "by 12.04 standards" and "by 12.10 standards" lines on errors.ubuntu.com should be drawn as if it wasn't fixed.

To implement that, Apport would need to rev the submission type version number on reports that were submitted while the details were loading.

Are you saying that the error was not sent to the error tracker in this case?

I think the report isn't sent to the error tracker for the reason I described: in the Launchpad case the report is submitted if you wait, but not if you don't. I'm not *sure* that the same is true for the error tracker as for Launchpad, because by design there is no feedback either way.

I'm on Raring, and I get no visual indication that any sort of error report is being sent anytime I get an Apport crash window, regardless of whether Show Details is clicked or not. I used to get a progress bar, be taken to Launchpad, etc., but now I get nothing beyond a window saying something happened and asking if I want a report sent.

I wasn't sure if this was just an intentional change to streamline the reporting process for testers, but after seeing this I am assuming this is not the case.

Right, we didn't enable Launchpad reporting on Raring yet. They go to
errors.ubuntu.com only at the moment.
