Add support for HiDPI screens

I have a hidpi screen, and I'm running ubuntu gnome 14.04
The elements inside the app don't scale, so text overlaps itself between different apps and there is a huge empty blank space on the right side of the main page

Here you go
as you can see, once in the app for any page it looks great, but on the
grid pages there is something strange going on with the text/elements
I should also mention i've got text scaling enabled globally, because with
this screen resolution doing without it is very difficult, and that's
probably a factor in this weirdness showing up
