Cannot open internet link from Evince

System: Linux xubuntu-laptop 2.6.32-23-generic #37-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jun 11 07:54:58 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux Xubuntu 10.04

This bug is similar to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apparmor/+bug/432778 but I use the original Firefox that comes with X/Ubuntu.

I've added the line

  /usr/lib/libexo-1-0/exo-helper-1 Ux,

in /etc/apparmor.d/abstractions/ubuntu-browsers and reread the profile:

sudo apparmor_parser -r -W -T /etc/apparmor.d/usr.bin.evince

After this Evince can open links in Firefox.

I suppose the reason is that Xubuntu does not open the browser directly but let this exo-helper decide what browser to use.

This isn't an AppArmor upstream problem, but a problem with the Ubuntu policy. Please file a new bug in Ubuntu if you are still having this issue.
