Can't create cache location '/var/cache/apparmor': No such file or directory

Hello Team,

I was on stretch and recently upgraded to buster.
The system works fine. But I see a message related to libapparmor in the Syslog.

syslog message - libapparmor: Can't create cache location '/var/cache/apparmor': No such file or directory

Upon checking I see that the file location is present in my system.

Can you guys help me as in why this message is created.

I know apparmor_parser mostly from the outside ("wrong" programming language for me) and I also don't know too much about Debian, therefore I'll un-assign myself.

Let me try with a wild guess nevertheless:

Do you see this error on boot or (also) on "systemctl reload apparmor"?
Do you have a separate partition for /var/ or /var/cache/?

If you see the error only on boot and have a separate partition, my guess is that this partition is mounted _after_ AppArmor gets started - and therefore /var/cache/apparmor/ is not available (yet).

I see this message after I upgraded to Debian 10. This message never came on my stretch builds.
Nor have I added any new profiles.

This is quite strange for us.
