Bug Description

I am a member of the ubunet-discuss mailing list (which is private) however, I can't access the list archive at http://lists.launchpad.net/ubunet-discuss.

When I login the the list I go through the login process but each time I get redirected back to the login page so I am stuck in a loop.

Here's what I experience:
* open a browser and go to http://lists.launchpad.net/ubunet-discuss
* I am redirected to https://lists.launchpad.net/openid/login and the page displays "That identity URL has not been granted access to this resource"
* When I click "Continue" I am redirected to https://login.launchpad.net/+openid. The page displays "Login ad John O'Brien" if I click "Sign In" The loops starts all over again.

For some reason I can login now. Not sure what happened before

I have seen similar problems on other resources that require authentication with OpenID restricted to certain teams. I was vaguely thinking it was something to do with reactivating an expired session and perhaps the team information isn't being sent, but I haven't investigated.

Changed in launchpad-foundations:
status: New → Triaged

This is a bug on the apache-openid project (bug #429916), not the identity service itself... although bug #449522 suggests a way for the identity service to break out of the loop manually.

Changed in canonical-identity-provider:
status: Triaged → Invalid
