Bug Description
Hello ,
i search a way to restore Volume applet and MultimediaKeys in Unity after uninstalling Pulseaudio. I came across your PPA and installed Alsa-Tray with it. apparently on my machine it is not working as the Alsa-Tray Volume-Icon is not shown in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 5 after invoking in Terminal the command "alsa-tray" . Please help also to restore Volume Funkction via Voluem Up and Down keys.
Thank you very much
Richard

Hello,
Unity used to hide systray icons, and do not display them at all in newer version...
* For older Unity version, you have to follow this: http:// www.webupd8. org/2011/ 04/how- to-re-enable- notification- area.html www.webupd8. org/2015/ 05/on-demand- system- tray-for- ubuntu. html
* For newer versions this: http://
For the multimedia key, I don't know if it always work on today's distribution, because it depends on a very old subsystem called HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) that is obsolete (it was replaced by udev many years ago).
