So this looks unrelated to anything in oslo, i think you're confusing davids other patch as a fix for this.
I'm curious if the rug is actually pegging the CPU and wedging, or if its just using an abnormally high amount of CPU? locally, it looks like its the latter. ignoring that and investigating other failures, i found https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/akanda/ +bug/1476402 which might be the cause of the original issue you guys were hitting.
