Adding disabled auto search

It should be possible to add disabled auto search for later use or if i only want to save the auto search before continue (maybe i need to stop editing my auto search and continue later).
You can add a button 'Add as disabled' or use a forbidden character in the search string so if my search string starts with a $ it will be added disabled and then the $ should disappear. It's not needed any more. Adding a check box i can even turn it on at the same time i press OK so that sounds like a better idea.
