sudo add-apt-repository ppa:python-
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install python-snippets
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:acire-
sudo apt-get update

I solved this by installing python-vte
I use kubuntu 10.04, with kde 4.4.2.
