Abiword should respect LC_PAPER and LC_MEASUREMENT locale settings

I've just tried Abiword 2.6 on hardy from that repository given at Bug #202174 :
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/abiword-stable/ubuntu hardy main

i'm french and default option in Abiword 2.6 was inche instead of centimeter
in my case, Abiword should count in centimeter by default, not in inches

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release, Intrepid 8.10? Thanks in advance.

This is still an issue with Intrepid 8.10
I have to manually select cm (default is inches on my french system whereas France makes use of cm)

Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Ubuntu 8.10 reached EOL on April 30, 2010.
