Bug Description

A centered text in a box (in its aa desciption) should also be centered in the generated picture, which is not the case, at least for svg backend (not tested with png).

A text cannot be tagged as "to be centered". But I know what you mean: if a text looks like centered, it should do so in the generated picture.

At the moment the anchor position of a text is top-left. Therefore "centered or not" also depends on text width against box width. This changes with different font aspect ratio or command line option '--aspect'. To solve your bug we could define that the anchor position is in the middle of a text. But then we have a problem to left-justify texts.

Please try if it is a working solution for you to set '--aspect' as close as possible to the font aspect - usually around 0.6. (Unfortunately there still is bug #471927 if aspect ratio in not equal 1.0)

Ok I understand.

However, it looks a bit strange to me that box/line sizes are not computed according to the current font size by default.

I would expect aafigure to behave like if I type an aafigure box, every "line" or "border" character have exactly the same width/height as a character.
