Bug Description
Binary package hint: xserver-
Just had Empathy (one IRC and one MSN window) and Mozilla Minefield (~15 tabs) running and the screen locked up and stopped responding to mouse clicks or keyboard input.
Mouse still moves.

Has this happened more than this one time?
If so, can you identify steps that seem to reproduce it reliably?
The backtrace seems to suggest possibly some relation to the synaptics touchpad.
