Bug Description

Bug #1469995 describes the same thing happening in July but says it was a process failure that was fixed in a few hours. Apparently the process failed again?

Please advise as to how to proceed. Should I just keep my pc turned on and hope that an update is pushed out?

The matching grub2-signed package has been released. If your system is failing to boot because of this, you will need to disable secureboot temporarily in your firmware in order to reinstall the package, or else boot from Ubuntu install media to reinstall the signed version of grub.

Changed in grub2-signed (Ubuntu):
status: New → Fix Released

Thanks. I chose the waiting strategy and it worked out.
