No more screen auto-rotate in 16.10

Bug Description

I'm using a Thinkpad Yoga S1.

In Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 I there was auto-rotation of the screen and the possibility to dis-/enable in the drop-down menu of the upper right corner.

In Ubuntu GNOME 16.10 (fresh install of latest beta + upgrades) however, this seems to be missing completely.

Is this a regression by design or did something go wrong?

Same on Yoga 2-13: support for screen rotation seems to have vanished in 16.10

Same here, auto-rotation gone in 16.10 on a Yoga 2 13 Pro.
And even with 16.04 it did not work right after a reboot: needed a suspend-to-ram/resume to get it to do the job.
