I cannot build Luz on Ubuntu 11.10 Alpha 3. See the compilation output in the attachment.

Are you sure you have the SDL dev package installed? Have you run the apt-get install line in the README file?

Could you run this in a terminal and paste the output here:

 pkg-config sdl --cflags --libs

Both libsdl1.2-dev and libsdl-ruby are installed.

OK so I'm unsure what to do-- I don't have Oneiric available for testing at this time.

If anyone can look into this, that'd be very helpful!

I can confirm this bug. I get exacly the same output, even though I have all required libraries and development headers installed.

Thanks to trism on #ubuntu+1 we've got a possible fix committed in revision 2121.

Thanks, but unfortunately trouble continues. I managed to compile the binary code, but dependencies for the ruby code are missing:
