Hatches (rough) LPE: certain geometries fail

The Hatches (rough) live path effect works well for certain geometries but not for others. It works on simply connected regions. It works on multiple disjoint regions. However, it fails on an object with a hole cut out of the center, for example an annulus constructed by subtracting a small circle from a larger one. If the LPE is applied to the annulus, it will produce two separate hatches-- one for each circle -- rather than producing a ring-shaped region filled with the hatch effect.
