I install camorama and its icon is permanentely added to the launcher without any request of mine

Are you sure? I don't think so! It's the first time I observe this behaviour. Is it a beta2 improvement? Anyway I do not appreciate it, because I think that the user has to decide what to add to the launcher.

that's the new default behavior you can disable that from software center if you don't like. View -> New Applications in Launcher
